bilt.me, an Estonian startup building an artificial intelligence tool that turns plain-language descriptions into working mobile apps, has raised 614,900 euros, about $700,000, in a pre-seed round. Superhero Capital led the financing, announced on September 28. Two well-known Estonian entrepreneurs joined as backers: Markus Villig, founder of the ride-hailing group Bolt, and Martin Sokk, founder of the investing app Lightyear.
The company was started by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann and Karl Kiilaspaa, all in their early twenties. It began as a hackathon project in August 2025 and won the first cohort at ruum, a hacker space in Tallinn. The platform lets users describe an app idea in ordinary language, then assembles it as a native Android or iOS application ready to publish, without the user writing code by hand.
Alongside the app itself, bilt.me provides the supporting pieces that products usually need, including payment processing, cloud services and options for sharing what people build. The founders are aiming at users who want to ship software quickly without hiring a development team, a market that a wave of AI coding tools has begun to open up over the past year across the industry. The founders have said they want to make building software as simple as writing a message.
The startup reported six-figure annual recurring revenue and said its revenue had doubled month on month for three straight months. Thousands of users are building on the platform, according to the company, with roughly three quarters creating consumer apps and the rest making internal tools for their own organisations rather than public products. Many, it said, had no formal background in coding.
bilt.me said it would use the money to expand internationally and add features. The involvement of Villig and Sokk gives the young team access to founders who have scaled Estonian companies into international businesses. Bolt grew from a Tallinn startup into one of Europe’s best-known ride-hailing and delivery firms, while Lightyear built a cross-border investing app, and both founders have become active backers of newer ventures in the country. The round is small, but the presence of such prominent names points to confidence in the young team.
